The purpose of this course is to teach and develop new church leaders like you. You will hear about a variety of opportunities to serve your local and greater church. The course is facilitated by Marsha Egan, District Lay Leader and Bob Beaver, District Director of Lay Servant Ministry. The required book is, Lay Servant Ministries Basic Course Participant’s Book by Sandy and Brian Jackson.
The church needs good preaching. This course focuses on the principles of preaching, including sermon preparation, delivery and the application of scripture in preaching the good news. The course is intended for people new to preaching and those that need a refresher course. Even if you never fill a pulpit the lessons will teach you how to prepare a witness or message of faith. A short assignment must be completed before class. The class facilitator is Mitch Ross, District Lay Leader. The required book is From Pew to Pulpit by Clifton F. Guthrie.-
REGISTRATION AND CLASS FEE ARE DUE BY NOVEMBER 9, 2019. CLASS FEE IS $10.
